About

All my memories of my grandfather involve him with a camera or video camera.  He was an avid photographer beginning in WW2 and an avid National Geographic reader.  That has certainly impacted my interest in nature and photography throughout my life, although I was late in developing my technical photography skills.

I love experiencing nature and continually learning more about the world around me.  I recently became a member of the Texas Master Naturalist organization, which focuses on the education of volunteers for the management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities. I frequently visit my two closest wildlife areas, Hagerman’s National Wildlife Refuge and Prosper Town Lake.

I have three cats, Coco, Nala, and Evie, which may make frequent appearances in my posts. My daughter, Brianna, also enjoys photography and occasionally poses for a photo or contributes some of her own shots. My husband, Andrew, is with us on all our big travels and is in the process of converting to a nature lover.

I genuinely hope that you enjoy the content.
